Make A Donation To The Lower Adirondack Search And Rescue Team
LASAR is a non-profit, 501(C)3 organization. Our operating funds come from just a few sources. Among them:
Member dues
All members are required to pay dues; however, in order to make sure anyone who truly wants to serve is able to, dues are kept low, so this is a minor funding source
Associate membership
People who do not qualify for active membership can still purchase an associate membership. The dues help support our mission of serving people
Raffle tickets
Team members sell raffle tickets at functions, such as the World’s Largest Garage Sale held in October of each year in Warrensburg, NY
Donations
Donations are one of the most important ways people can help our organization. LASAR is a totally volunteer-run, fiscally conservative organization – we don’t need much, and we don’t ask for much. However, from time to time there is a need for equipment such as radios and other items. This is when donations are a big help.
Donations can come in a couple of ways. An in-kind donation means someone has a service or goods needed by LASAR, and they offer to donate them. People can also simply donate cash. Either way, your help is greatly appreciated, and it goes a long way in helping to serve your community.
